Eligibility criteria
To be part of the Impact Trail, exhibitors must:
- Be a confirmed exhibitor at Big 5 Global or its co-located events.
- Offer a certified sustainable product with industry-recognized credentials (For example: Cradle to Cradle, EU Ecolable, TUV Green Product CERT etc)
- Demonstrate positive environmental and/or social impact.

all shortlisted award categories
As part of their entry, exhibitors must demonstrate the potential for the product to be used in the MEASA region, either through existing or intended application. Each product will be scored across 5 criteria, total score out of 50 points.
- Originality – How novel or unique is the innovation compared to existing solutions
- Environmental Impact – How significantly does the product reduce environmental harm?
- Scalability – Can the innovation be adopted widely across projects or regions
- Integration Potential – How easily can the product be incorporated into current construction processes?
- Project Use Examples – Are there real-world examples or case studies demonstrating the product’s use and impact?
- Quantifiable Impact – Are there measurable reductions in carbon emissions, energy use, or waste?
- Evidence-Based Results – Has the exhibitor provided credible data, case studies, or certifications?
- Innovation in Reduction Method – Is the method of reduction novel or a significant improvement?
- Ease of Implementation – How practical is it to implement this product at scale?
- Project Use Examples – Are there real-world examples or case studies demonstrating the product’s use and impact?
- Material Lifecycle – Does the product promote reuse, recyclability, or modularity?
- Resource Efficiency – How efficiently does it use materials or reduce dependency on virgin resources?
- Design for Disassembly – Can the product be easily dismantled for repurposing or recycling?
- Real-World Application – Has the product been successfully used in circular projects?

- User Impact – How does the product positively affect physical or mental health?
- Material Safety – Does it avoid harmful or toxic materials?

- Evidence of Benefit – Are there certifications, tests, or user feedback demonstrating its impact?
- Project Use Examples – Are there real-world examples or case studies demonstrating the product’s use and impact?
- Environmental Impact – Does the product reduce environmental harm across its lifecycle through improved energy and resource efficiency, reduced emissions, or use of sustainable materials?
- Design for Circularity – Is the product designed to support circular economy principles such as durability, reusability, upgradability, and repairability?
- Material Transparency – Does the product limit the use of substances that inhibit recyclability or remanufacturing, and does it clearly disclose material composition?
- Resource Efficiency & Recycled Content – To what extent does the product use recycled or renewable materials and minimize waste in production or use?
- Performance Evidence – Is there tangible proof that the product delivers measurable sustainability benefits (e.g., reduced carbon footprint, energy savings, extended lifecycle)?
- Real-World Implementation – Are there credible use cases or project references where the product has contributed to more sustainable construction or living environments?
